HRM Urban Forest Master Plan in the works
HRM is collaborating with faculty and students in Dalhousie’s School of Resource and Environmental Studies to develop an Urban Forest Master Plan. There is a Walkabout on Tuesday, Aug 17th and an Open House on Aug 18th, with further opportunities to participate. Read more

Natural Resources Minister pressured to discount Bancroft-Crossland Recommendations
“There’s a lobbying effort afoot among the major players in Nova Scotia’s forestry industry, says Natural Resources Minister John MacDonell, and it’s aimed at convincing him to reject proposed changes to forestry management.” (Chronicle Herald, July 15, 2010). Write a letter of support for recommendations in the Bancroft-Crossland Report.
