Membership in the Halifax Field Naturalists is open to anyone interested in the understanding, appreciation and conservation of Nova Scotia’s natural history (including animals, plants and fungi in their natural environment, leaning towards observational methods of study).

How to Join or Renew
There are a number of ways to join/renew: e-transfer; mail or in person.
- E-transfer (recommended): Send an e-transfer to hfn.memberships@gmail.com (this enables automatic deposit to the HFN account). Please remember to include your membership information in the Comments field (see list above).

Membership Year and Benefits
The regular membership year is from 1 January to 31 December. NOTE: New memberships received between 1 September to 31 December are valid until the end of the following year.
Members receive the monthly e-newsletter Nature Notes, as well as notices of meetings, field trips, and special programs.
